Comprehensive Eye Examination
Annual Eye Examinations, whether preventive or routine, are extremely important in maintaining good eye health. During the exam, our doctors will determine the best prescription for your visual needs. In addition, visual functionality will be assessed since good vision is more than just 20/20. Specific visual skills are needed to see clearly and with ease during activities like driving, working at a computer, reading, and even when switching between the board and desktop in the classroom. Our doctors strive to provide comprehensively thorough eye care for every member of the family.
Contact Lens Evaluation:
Contact lenses can be used to correct many forms of visual disorders that include nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, etc. During your visit, you will have a consultation with one of our doctors to determine which lens type works best for your eyes and lifestyle. From there the doctor will determine proper fit to ensure best comfort and clarity through the lenses, whether soft daily disposables, lenses for astigmatism, multifocals, or RGPs (aka hard lenses). We also train new wearers in application and removal of lenses.
Family Tree Optometric is a participant in this public health initiative that provides a no-cost eye examination to infants during the first year of life. This exam is crucial to ensure proper visual development. During this exam, doctors perform a variety of tests to detect non-apparent visual problems that can lead to developmental and learning difficulties. Such eye health issues are easier to correct if treatment begins early.
Vision can change much more noticeably in this heavy digital age. If it has been a few months since your last eye exam and vision seems blurry, it may be time for a refraction to determine how your correction has changed.
Family Tree Optometric provides general vision, ocular health, and vision therapy services to residents in Irvine, California and surrounding communities.
